Pastor Merrill has been in ministry for 40 years serving churches in Illinois, Texas, Iowa, and now Washington. He served 21 years as a military chaplain in the Air National Guard retiring as Wing Chaplain in the 185th Air Refueling Wing at Sioux City, Iowa in 2013.
Merrill and his wife Deborah, a Nurse Practitioner, have been married 50 years. They have three children and six grandchildren spread from Florida to New Mexico to Hawaii.
